Simple 2-inch Man
A blocky little figure, good practice for limbs/proportions before faces.
Carving a person (or a gnome, or a chess piece) is a different problem than carving an animal: proportion and a face matter more than fur or feathers. This journey moves from blocky, simplified figures into pieces with more defined faces and poses.
If the animal journey is about shape and surface, this one is about proportion, most of what you carve after this list will lean on skills built here.
